For us, the plastic fan wheels from many suppliers were too expensive, and true to the motto "something is always wrong," many fans didn't appeal to us. The Parmakit fans "consume" too much engine power, Vespatronic fans provided a little too little airflow for our liking, the color doesn't suit every scooter, and the available milled fan wheels cost significantly more than the plastic fan wheels.
A very serious disadvantage of milled fans on the racetrack is their stability. If the rider crashes, the aluminum blades don't break off; they bend, and unfortunately, the crankshaft is often damaged by the applied torque. The Air Number 12 is lighter than the aluminum alternatives, which allows the engine to rev up faster and respond more aggressively to the throttle.
The Air Number 12 is intended as an inexpensive replacement for the available fans, an alternative to Vespatronic and Parmakit, and especially for the CNC fan wheels. The Air Number 12 also fits Polinitronic ignitions with modifications (the holes need to be redrilled in a shifted position).
