- 25% higher strength in 3rd gear
Original PX200 gearbox:
1st gear: 12:57; 2nd gear: 13:42; 3rd gear: 17:38; 4th gear: 21:35
In 4th gear at 8000 rpm with 3.50-10" tires, the speed is 133.2 km/h.
KR Gearbox:
1st gear: 12:56; 2% longer; 2nd gear: 11:34; 4.5% longer; 3rd gear: 17:37; 2.7% longer; 4th gear: 19:31; 2.2% longer;
In 4th gear at 8000 rpm with 3.50-10" tires, the speed is 136.1 km/h.
Significantly higher strengths could be achieved due to the reduced profile shift.
It is imperative to ensure that the axial gear play is set to 2-4/10 mm during installation.
Background: The contact surfaces of the gear wheels are larger than in the original, which reduces tilting. If the play is chosen too small, excessive friction can occur, the vehicle "pushes" forward even in neutral, and shifting becomes very clunky.
Compared to the original gearbox, the following higher strengths were achieved:
1st gear: +26%; 2nd gear: +29%; 3rd gear: +25%; 4th gear: +38%.
